Yakon and Lemon

YAKON AND LEMON COMBO. We have YAKON or Peruvian Ground Apple. As the name suggests, it’s a root crop that has the characteristics of an apple. The lovely thing about Yakon is that it has sweet, dark center that tastes like watered-down molasses. You can see it in this picture, almost taste it. From Tinoc, Ifugao, we are trying to get more.

We shall pair that with ORGANIC LEMONS grown by our strawberry farmers in Kibungan, Benguet. You can see the actual Lemon Trees here, growing along side the rows of strawberries. Surely this affects the flavor of the Lemons.
