The provincial government of Batanes is hoping that we could take at least ten tons of these. You know, Batanes was big in the news last week. Sixty members of the sea-faring Tao people of Taiwan rowed across 165 kilometers of open ocean to visit their Ivatan kin in Batanes. I believe there was no space for “pasalubong” on the boat, so hindi nabawasan yung 50 tons. Still waiting for help. Over the years we did a couple of Rescue Buys™ in Itbayat, both for 1,000 kilos.
