HELP FOR TATAY RAFAEL. Lagkitan or Batwan, it does not matter, ano po? Tatay Rafael’s fellow pickers will see what they can gather from the hills outside of Ibajay, Aklan and send it to us. They are going to do this to help Tatay Rafael who is laid up in the hospital right now. Every little way helps — some members are responding to our appeals by sending small amounts that is slowly adding up. If you would like to buy produce, proceeds to go to Tatay, that is welcome too.

HELP FOR TATAY RAFAEL. Rural Rising members, please if you can spare a few pesos to help a farmer, God bless you. We are seeking your kind and urgent support to succor Tatay Rafael, our Lagkitan Banana and Batwan gatherer from the town Ibajay, Aklan. You know him from several years of lagkitan and batwan offers. This was one of his videos he sent us. He’s climbed mountains for us, climbed the trees, brought down the bunches or sacks on his back, trudged many long and dark hours. Now his tired, old body has broken down, and suddenly. Sumuka daw ng dugo, that cannot be good. He has no family, he is a senior citizen. Only his neighbors, banana and batwan gatherers also, are helping him. They sent us this photo of Tatay  Rafael lying in the hospital. We know from them what happened to him. There are two ways you can help us help. One, buy Lagkitan bananas or batwan his neighbors will gather bananas and sell them to us for Tatay’s treatment and daily food. They’ll see tomorow or day after what’s available to gather send by boat. Or you could give. Give what you want or can however small, we shall publish the GCash and BPI details below. We shall promise, most sincerely, to convey. Sana po, sana maraming makakita nito. Times are hard right now, and it is so much harder for our farmers in the rural areas.
