Thaiyum Mango
RURI CLUB
TRUE THAI. We’re here in Nueva Ecija now, one of the trucks in convoy, to pick up a load of THAIYUM MANGOES. This is the real deal, the “true” ThaiYum Mangoes that have the ugly skin, the ones that are truly unique-tasting. The last batch we got last month, they were from another farmer. They had smoother skin and some did not ripen well. We were not truly happy and proud of them. For this batch, we are. This batch is from the farmer we met during the pandemic and his trees are now ready for picking, his mangoes are mature. Sure to ripen, sure to delight. What happens if they don’t and you aren’t, please give them back. But what happens if they do and you are?
WE BUILD MARKETS FOR FARMERS. Like Bintong, which is a name we gave to an ugly, unmarketable localized Japanese sweet potato from Quirino, we invented the name THAIYUM for these ugly, unmarketable Thailand-Carabao mangoes. We sometimes discover ugly fruits and produce, and we give them their chance to shine, to be loved by our members, and to give the farmers a good income every season. This is one of the ways we are helping aside from Rescue Buy.
GET TRUE THAIYUM MANGOES HERE. We are seeking support for 300 kilos of “true” (really sweet, really special) ThaiYum mangoes from Zaragosa, Nueva Ecija. If you give P499, your share shall be 5 kilos.
