TATALON MAY DAHON. Before we left for Baguio, Andie took the opportunity to educate the mothers of Brgy. Tatalon, Quezon City on what to do with CAULIFLOWER leaves and stems.
Back read the story:
HUMINAHON PAG MAY DAHON. The CAULIFLOWERS will be semi-or half-trimmed. Please don’t panic or get semi-hysterical when you see leaves. Remember that our intention for doing this is to help Ilokano farmers, and we shall do that. We’re happy for them to load the Cauliflower this way, stacked carefully on the truck. Finally, please remember what we told you about Cauliflower stalks and leaves being edible. Peel the skin off the stalks, stir fry in oyster sauce. Dip the young leaves in batter, fry like tempura. As for the flower, make Cauliflower Rice or roast the flower and slather with butter.
Maraming salamat, RuRi. We are doing this again, we shall help the Cauliflower farmers one last time. We’re taking their last 500 kilos.
