KATUTUBE. Katutube is ube rescued to help Dumagat katutubo who were unable to find buyers for it this morning at the Antipolo Public Market. They travelled all the way from Sta. Ines, Tanay, Rizal in a rented jeep. They had the misfortune of the vehicle breaking on the way, and by the time they got to the market, the buyer they were supposed to meet has given up and left. There they were — men, women and children — hungry and buyerless, and the jeep has to travel back to Sta. Ines at 11AM. A kind soul took pity on them and called us to explain the situation. We of course agreed to take all of the Ube, loaded on a Lalamove car to RuRi North, and paid as soon as the delivery report came out. It looks like Andie and the children are cooking NO LABEL CHEWY UBE JAM in Baguio soon. If you’ve had a chance to taste this last year, go “Yay!” na.
So today, we are taking advanced orders of Chewy Ube Jam.
Read more on that:
What Andie and the children did was take the two best-selling ube jams in Baguio and benchmark it against their product. This jam they made is completely different—purposely made chewy-chunky, sugar level reduced to just the level where it’s just preservative not sweetener. Super good mouth feel and the name they are calling this is a mouthful, the “No Label Chewy Ube Jam” or NLCUJ. Warning, once you open the jar, you’ll have trouble putting the cap back on. So there’s that.
SNAP BUY: NO LABEL CHEWY UBE JAM. We are looking for 50 members to buy two (2) bottles of Ube Jam and pay P899. This allowed us to help people today. Click on the Comments section below to place your order.
Delivery will be announced once the jam is cooked and ready for dispatch.
