Fresh Peanuts

QUEEN OF TEARS. A farmers daughter from Reina Mercedes town in Isabela was in tears about the sad situation of her grandmother and mother. This is her messages to us, and before (sad) and after (happy) videos after we took action on their request.

Read her message to us:
“Hello ruri Di ko po alam kung mababsa ni yo po ito dito sa page. But l’m seeking help po, baka pwede niyo pong bilhin itong bagong pitas na mani po namin. Pambawi lang po ng gastos namin po. Taga Isabela po ako and sad to say mahina at binabarat po kaming small time farmer. Wala pa po sa Kalahati ang income namin sa gastos nitong pag mamani lugi na kami sa mais at 10/kg lang ang bili ng yellow corn kaya po ako Napa chat para po matulungan ang mga ka mag anak ko ng mabawi man lang ang gastos sa mani….Sorry po if napa chat po ako. Naawa na po kasi ako sa mom ko. Iniisip kung paano maibebenta sa mayos na price. Halos nag message na din po ako sa mga friends ko may mga bumili naman na po kaso kulang pa rin. Kahit mabawi nalang po sana ung gastos.”

(Hello, RuRi. I am not sure if you will be able to read this. I am seeking your help. Please will you buy our newly-harvested peanuts? Just to recover our capital. We’re from Isabela and sad to say the middlemen are low-balling us small farmers. Their offer won’t cover even half of our expected income. We’ve already lost so much money on corn which they bought at just P10/kilo. So I am chatting with you to seek help for my family. I just pity my mom. I am trying to find a better price for her peanuts. I am sending messages to all my friend to buy some, some have tried to help, but they cannot buy all of the peanuts. I just hope for us to recover our capital.)
