Honey

THREE GENERATIONS OF HONEY. Three members — mother, daughter, grand daughter — travelled to RuRi West from Mandaluyong to pick up HONEY. natuwa ako sa sinabi ni mom so I asked if she could say it again for the camera. Natawa ako sa sinabi ni Andie at the end. Sa dami-dami ng sinabi about the honey, she had one burning question she really needed to ask. How we discovered our source of honey: So what happened was our truck was parked at the Dingalan-Gabaldon boundary, where the “I Dingalan” sign is. The father Dumagat approached our driver to ask if his family would be allowed to hitch a ride at the back up to Cabanatuan market. He offered a bottle of banana vinegar as payment, and our driver agreed. We got to taste the vinegar back at RuRi and subsequently offer banana vinegar when it’s available. Subsequently, the Dumagat family and their tribe (and another tribe much later) offered us Honey and we were happy to take that too.
