Lagkitan Banana

These were the bananas na na-strand sa Caticlan. Back read the story below.

RARE LAGKITAN BANANAS. We are able to get a unique and rare kind of banana called LAGKITAN. It’s from the town of Ibajay in the island of Panay. Lagkitan tastes like a cross between a Saba and a Latundan banana. It’s flesh is firm like a Saba’s and its peel is thin like a Latundan’s. How is the taste? They say you get a bubblegum-y undertone. It tastes terrific fried or boiled. You may find a seed in the center which is good. You have a chance to propagate this rare banana in your backyard. These are the Lagkitan bananas, and this is our farmer. He shared with us how he had a difficult time bringing these bananas from the mountains, and we believe him after seeing the injury/swelling on his hand.

Back read the story:
LAGKITAN NA STRAND SA CATICLAN. Our farmer in Ibajay, Aklan sent us the Lagkitan Bananas he and his fellows gathered for us. Thirty kilos of these are already mature but he put them on the boat anyway. They were supposed to be our hands this morning, we were hoping to make a quick dispatch. The storm delayed the ship in Caticlan Island. The Coast Guard required all ships to not only stay in port but for all trucks to offload. All in the interest of safety of course. If you ordered Lagkitan Bananas, we’ll keep you updated.

LAGKITAN BANANA SNAP BUY. We are seeking your support for 200 kilos of freshly-harvested Lagkitan Bananas, coming all
