LEMON AID. The ordeal of our LEMON farmers in Tuba, Benguet begins again, and we must come to their aid again. The arrival of the harvest brings both joy and worry. Foremost is worry, that a repeat of last year, when they were forced to throw away their lemons for lack of buyers would happen again. Myrna is the first farmer to ask for help and will not be the last. As the Lemons go into full production, prices will drop from this price to nothing. Thirty tons per week, they estimate to throw away this much every season. The farmers will do all they can to try to sell their Lemons. Bring it to Urdaneta, Pangasinan AgriPinoy until the side streets would be jammed with sacks of unsold Lemons — and the gutters with rotting ones. Color their Lemons yellow using poison Calcium Carbide (kalburo) in a vain attempt to make them resemble imported Lemons, eventually to no avail. The Lemons rot faster and the middle men who required them to do so stop coming. The one thing that is constant for this village is that Rural Rising will always be there every season to aid these farmers. We may not be able to take all 30 endangered tons each week but we can take one ton — and for one farmer, that is enough.
RESCUE BUY LEMONS. We are seeking support for Myrna the Lemon farmer for 500 kilos. If you give P299, your share shall be 4 kilos. This is enough
