Lisbon Lemon

The flatbed truck in convoy with us broke down on the way to the remote LISBON LEMON farm, somewhere in Central Luzon. We decided to go ahead without it thinking that we can fit 300 kilos in the back of the car if we stuffed our luggage further forward. We ended up getting lost and going in half circles for two hours, and by the time we got to our destination we were low on gas and dusk has fallen. This was the time we saw the Lisbon Lemons for the very first time, inspected in the light of our headlights. Whatever concerns we had for our safety on the trip back was dispelled by the pure calming citrus essence that filled the car, our lungs, even our pores. We took our time to retrace our way back to Quezon City, stopping once to pee against a tree, and once more for a 30-minute nap infront of a well-lit NLEX 7-11. Thus recharged we had the energy for the final leg, concluding an adventurous discovery trip that led to these Lisbon Lemons.
