MOUNTAIN PLANTAINS. Somehow these uber-large plantains found their way inside the shipment of bananas from Aritao. They were hiding in there among the sabas and the latondans. We don’t even know what they are called. They are so unique that it caused wonder among members who came to Rural Rising this morning. If you are intrigued also as to the taste, you are welcome to order. I believe there’s 37 kilos. Join in the joy of discovery. I think these would be very good cooking bananas, for maruya or banana bread.
