Munggo

LAND OF THE LOST. What we have here are MUNGGO from Nambalangan, Brgy. Guibel, San Jacinto, Pangasinan. Nambalangan in the Pangasinense language means the place where you purposely leave something behind in order for it to get lost. One of these days we would find out exactly what was lost in Nambalangan — it could be a box of unwanted kittens or Yamashita’s gold — but it’s not Monggo because we have found it.

So this munggo is the “masapo”variety, better than the variety the farmers call “kintab”. Please enjoy some. And if you are wishing to have us donate some of these munggo to hungry communities, we would be happy to do so, or to the dog shelters sana. Monggo is a good source of protein, very filling and a kilo can feed a family for a week if stretched or a multitude of dogs for a day.
