KALABASA NG PAGASA. The problem of our Kalabasa farmers in Nueva Ecija are annual, perhaps even perennial. These are the same group of farmers we helped last year, and the year after before that. They are once again coming to us with a prayer of help in their hour of need. There are now small mountains of Kalabasa growing inside and around many houses and it won’t be long before an overwhelmingly one rises in a borrowed warehouse. You heard the part where the farmer says it’s as much as 300 tons, how do they survive if Ruri is not there to buy? Like last year, the hope of many Kalabasa farmers in this town this year is Ruri.
