A HELPING OF SALT. I was pleasantly surprised — and a little shocked — to see 500 kilos of RURI RORO ROCK SALT sell out in only 24 hours. Very fast, and the only other notice I posted about it was me fetching a pack of salt from the car so Andie can make scrambled eggs. They tell us that there’s at least 50 tons of salt that needs helping in Mindoro. That’s a lot of salt, that’s a lot of helping. 500 kilos so far, I believe, I pray that our group can absorb 1.5 tons more to make an even 2 tons. This RURI RORO ROCK SALT is very coarse and delightful. Rock talaga, it crunches on your teeth. Traditional and classic. It’s the kind of salt you put beside roast meat or steak to dip, or rub on unripe mango to cause sweet sour salty torture on yourself.
