Watermelon

WATERMELON FROM OUR FRUIT SCOUTS. Some of our farmers act as RuRi’s buyers among their fellow farmers. They go around looking for produce that RuRi can buy, ever on the look-out for produce that are in “over production”. If notice that sometimes we have small quantities of fruits, those are from them, our fruit scouts. Nakikita nila sa mga puno-puno. We are happy for these farmers to make a small side income, adding a peso or two for their trouble. It pays for the gasoline for the motorcyle or tricycle, data for sending videos to us, etc. So they said that in Ilocos Sur, vegetables are either very expensive, the same thing in Ilocos Norte. But this morning, they found for us these Watermelons. Sugarbabies, I think this is what they are called. The weather in Ilocos when these watermelons was harvested was bright and sunny so these should be very sweet.
