Zucchini prices tend to swing a lot.

Some weeks it becomes so expensive that people stop buying it. Then within a short time, sometimes just a couple of weeks, the price drops sharply. Even then, demand often recovers slowly.

Our sense is that many buyers avoid zucchini because it has a reputation for being expensive. When the price finally goes down, that hesitation does not disappear right away.
